Willard Conchin was a long-time member of the Meridianville church of Christ where I preached and, in fact, preached there some in the 1960s. I spent many years enjoying his company and listening to his stories. I begged him to write down some of those family stories, but he felt they were better kept between us.

His education and knowledge of the Bible were obvious. He intended for the books he wrote to require the student to spend time in God’s word. I asked him to write an answer book. He said the answer book had already been written, God’s word.

He wrote a total of 67 books dating back to the 60s, each bearing the same style of questions that require study. He wrote textual studies on most books of the Bible and he also wrote on a variety of topical studies. His was not an attempt to engage in doctrinal discourse but rather to turn men to a study of God’s word. He truly believed that it contained the words of life and the answer to man’s problems today.

In 2008 it became difficult for him, at his advanced age, to continue publishing and selling the books. He called and asked if I would be interested in continuing his legacy through the selling of his books. It has been my joy to do that and to serve others in their quest to know God and to know His word. I commend these studies to you in the hope that your knowledge and understanding of God’s word will grow thereby.
